When Zenith launched the El Primero in 1969, it was already designed with triple calendar and moon phase functions. In 1970, the brand produced 25 prototypes of the El Primero triple calendar watch in the classic Chronomaster case. The movement eventually went into regular production, but was also available in other case styles and remained in catalogs for decades. The new triple calendar features the latest generation El Primero 3610, but the dial layout is the same as the vintage original.
